Fostering artistic, heritage and historic awareness by developing and producing theatre, music, dance, storytelling, and comedy in, of, and about the Ottawa Valley, this company takes its name from the miles of stone fences that crisscross Renfrew County – a testament to the years of backbreaking work done by the local settlers who cleared the land.

Opeongo Classic Loppet, January 28, 2018


This annual classic cross-country ski event is held at Opeongo Nordic. Choose from one of four distances — 2.5 km, 5 km, 10 km or 20 km. The Opeongo Classic Loppet is run in partnership with the Silver Spoon Ski-Fest (held in Deep River the day before.) Different courses, different terrains, same great people, all on the same weekend!

Bonnechere Cup, February 16-18, 2018

Since 1974, some of the greatest names in snowmobiling history have experienced the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat right here on the Eganville track. Names like Lee, Vandolder, Riemenschneider, Wahl, Vessair, Schulz and of course, Villeneuve, have all shaped the course of their careers at the Bonnechere Cup.

Festival of Outdoor Rinks, Feb 9-11, 2018

A celebration of this unique part of our culture and tradition. It is a Festival that will have something for everyone in our area, and hopefully, bring some new people out to the outdoor rinks. It’s a weekend to travel with skates or without, and take part in a free weekend worth of fun and activity to beat the winter blues

Dinner on the Bridge, July 1st

Join locals and guests who come from across the Ottawa Valley to buy a ticket to celebrate Canada Day by shutting down the Bonnechere River bridge in Eganville for an evening of comfort food, live music, friends and fireworks over the river.

, Paddle and Fiddle the Bonnechere, July 21, 2018

Join the annual gathering of an enthusiastic group of paddlers and Ottawa Valley fiddlers for a float down the Bonnechere River from Eganville to the Fourth Chute. Stay into the evening for a BBQ and music at the Bonnechere Caves.

Bonnechere Authors Festival, July 2018
The BAF was founded in 2002 and has since grown to be a signature event in the Ottawa Valley. Every Wednesday in July, a Canadian author comes to Eganville and speaks about their adventures in writing, researching, and living. They read from their latest works, answer questions from the audience and sometimes even sign books! There are snacks and coffee and tea available, door prizes, books to buy, and a whole lot of fun.

80th Annual Pilgrimage to Shrine of St. Ann, July 29, 2018

Every year for over 80 years, thousands of parishioners literally walk a 4-day pilgrimage from Renfrew, Ontario to the Shrine of St. Ann at the beautifully decorated and historic St. Ann’s Catholic Church in the tiny hamlet of Cormac near Eganville.

Algonquins of Pikwakanagan Traditional Pow Wow, August 18, 2018


Each year Pikwakanagan welcomes hundreds of dancers, numerous drum groups and thousands of spectators to celebrate Algonquin culture at our traditional pow wow. It is held on the third weekend in August.

Tour de Bonnechere: Pedal for Mental Health, August 19, 2018

A timed self-supported road ride that celebrates cycling in the beautiful Ottawa Valley. Challenge yourself to ride the short course (50k) in 2 hours or the long one (100k) in 3. This is not a race! Enjoy riding with like-minded people at whatever pace you choose. A scenic family ride (18k) makes its way to Bonnechere Caves and back. Pot-luck BBQ afterwards! All proceeds support local charities.
